Thorsten Kaye is one of the most talented and versatile actors on TV. He makes his characters come alive and gives them depth and layers. No matter how bad the writing, and it has been horrendous since Charles Pratt took over as HW, he always brings in the gold with every performance. It boggles the mind how this actor’s talent has not been rewarded with an Emmy. IMO it only goes to prove how meaningless and politically motivated these awards and their process of selection is.
Once TK leaves, Pratt will no longer have one of the most amazing pairings in AMC history to kick around any more. I also hope that AM does not return alone to AMC if Pratt is still around as HW. If and when Brian Frons decides to finally hire someone with talent, who knows the soap opera genre and is creative enough to give the audience character driven stories instead of this sleazy, woman hating and abusing plot driven drivel that has turned AMC into a cesspool of doom and gloom, then I hope that both TK and AM return to have Zendall magic again grace my TV screen.
If TK had stayed the thought of what plans Pratt had envisioned for Zach Slater is scary. He probably would have turned him into the Sonny Corrinthos of PV and paired him with the boring orange onion called NotLiza to embellish his wet dreams. That is a nightmare I would not have stuck around for…. nor will I stick around if Alicia Minshew comes back and the toxic triumvirate of Kendall/Greenlee/Ryan is resurrected. Now I am back to enjoying the Zen of 2005 and 2006 from clips that I have saved over the years.
Both TK and AM deserve so much better and I hope that they both move on to greener pastures where their talents are much more appreciated and their potential as actors rewarded. I will miss them terribly, but I love them both too much to have them and the Zendall magic they created wasted on trashy talent less writing.

Diva, I second that...
I'm glad TK is leaving this cesspool of crap and I hope AM never comes back..
Two of the most talented actors in the business, two of the most wonderful characters to ever grace PV, and the most loved couple in daytime deserve better than this..
Pratt is a hack... He's twisted version of women is disturbing... His s/l are garbage.....and TK/AM deserve better...
As a long time AMC fan, I would have tuned out long before this if it hadn't been for TK/AM/Zach/KEndall/Zendall...but once they are gone, I'm gone...
So many wasted opportunities... So much wasted time..
Instead of compelling stories, we and they get junk...
The constant infestion of Ryass and every new sleazy character that comes on...
This latest garbage s/l was the last straw.. If the so-called PTB wanted to keep viewers, they would have come up with something better than this for the last Zen hurray...
TK/AM will have no problems finding work elsewhere....but I will miss Zach, Kendall, Zendall...
What I will not miss is the garbage writing set out to destroy something so wonderful...
I'll follow TK/AM whereever they go, but AMC can tank for all I care after they leave...

Diva, excellent post.
I have been railing against Pratt's writing since he unleashed his stupidity and no talent on AMC with the ridiculous Bianca having Zach's baby storyline. He demonstrated then and there his disrespect for character integrity,show history and and disrespect for the actors who have worked tirelessly to bring such joy to their fans. Now he has focused the show on 'B' characters, Annie, Liza, Scott , the wuss Jake, and the oh so stupid Amanda and the oh so painful to watch Randi who tries desperately to act, but falls far short. These characters I expect he thinks are going to carry this show when the move is made to LA.
He has turned the once great David Canary into a pathetic, old man to showcase the despicable Annie and her milquetoast lover Scott. I have no words for what he is doing to Zach and Kendall. he should be shot for what he has done to the entire show.
I beg Alicia Minshew not to return to AMC after her maternity leave. Thorsten Kaye and she ,Susan Lucci, Michael E. Knight and David Canary and Vincent irizarry, Darnell Wiliams and Debbie morgan deserve better than this. The rest are dispensible.

I never thought I'd feel this way, but I agree with the posters in this thread. I adore Thorsten Kaye, but this show doesn't want to write for Zach (or Kendall for that matter) in a storyline that doesn't involve infidelity. Pratt doesn't want to, or can't, write anything else for them--Zach and Reese, Zach and Liza, Kendall and Ryan, Kendall and Aidan. Oh, yeah, to be fair, we had months of Ian sick in a hospital, but everything else, including Stuart's murder, was filled with Zach being jealous of Ryan, Kendall being jealous of Liza, and Zach being jealous of Aidan. TK should have had corporate storylines to deal with as Zach ran Cambias or his casinos. He should have played opposite actors who were cast as Zach's relatives so that Zach had more to do than hang out with Kendall's family. There's so much TK could have done on this show, but AMC is incapable of writing it for him. I will miss TK, but I am very glad that he's going to be free of the nonstop stupidity of the writing.
As for Alicia Minshew, I am a huge fan, but it seems pretty clear that Pratt doesn't think much of Kendall. I can't say that I fear what he'll do to Kendall because I won't be watching if AM returns and TK isn't there, so I wish her well, but I don't have much hope for AMC by the time Kendall returns to Pine Valley.
I had been thoroughly depressed about not having AMC to watch once Zen are gone, but reading the scoops for this week alone has made me glad they're leaving, and the actors and us fans all deserve better.

There were so many stories Pratt could have, if he had any talent or imagination, written for Zach, Kendall, & Zendall, but he chose garbage instead...
The meddeling crap s/l where Kendall was all involved in Rylee ish....that would have been okay if they would have given us a better reason why...
How about Kendall doing it because of PPD & PTSD from everything that happened since Ian was born....or because the attempted rape that she never got over and never was discussed..
When Kendall was in the coma and AM was on her honeymoon a great story for Zach would have been him dealing with what was happening to Kendall, the kids, and business issues....
Instead, Pratt had to shove Reek at us... The vile BOB crap that ruined Bianca beyond repair, damaged Zach, and TB character never stood a chance....
Kendall waking up was another missed opportunity....
Instead of dealing with Josh's death, her heart condition, etc... We had that BOB/Zach-Reek crap...then the vulgarness of RenDull part 3..
Add Fake Liza to the mix... and more garbage..
Hell, the secret room had potential, but instead of a great story about Zen finding their way back, we were stuck with endless scenes of Zach and Pratt's pet who sucked the life out of the story....
Now, we have this ish...
I'm glad TK is leaving this sinking ship and I hope after this vile story AM tells TPTB to stick it...
Those two are far too talented for a no-talent writer and a bunch of woman hating pigs.....
Daytime isn't dying.... The likes of Frons/Pratt are killing it.....and AMC is toast after Jan....

Gator, I'm in total agreement with you. There was so much potential of incorporating business stories for both TK/Zach and DC/Adam. Both characters are titans of industry. Zach as the casino owner and Adam heading Chandler Enterprises. Kendall's Fusion, a company headed by women, has been all but forgotten and when has Ryan last sat behind a desk at Cambias Industries, which he stole from Zach?
There was so much potential in Zach's dark and mysterious past, which we only got a glimpse of during the Satin Slayer s/l. There could have been old enemies or family members that could have been brought to the AMC canvas to embelish the Cambias/Slater legacy.
Yet all we are getting is infidelity, triangles, druggings, sexual abuse of women and no one in PV ever goes to work. The ineptitude and lack of talent in the writing is mind boggling.
