This would sound stupid of Sharon but I actually think that she would forgive Victor because it wasnt like he smothered Summer with peanuts, he was involved and indirectly it was his fault but his big thing is protecting the family so I think she would see that more than blame him for the misfortune. Phyllis - see things for what they are and goes with her guns blazing, she doesnt think about how they came to be or why which is how Sharon would be more forgiving than Phyllis.
I also think that she is standing by Nick with regards to restless style not because its attacking the Newmans but that Billy is trashing her magazine, her baby that she has worked so hard for to have a certain look, a certain style and a certain target consumer but to see him trash it and make it tacky has got to be a sore spot for her. Its just bonus that she can support her husband in this. If she were to work at Jabot now, I think it would be the same thing, Nick/Victor would probably have a problem with it.

Ummm.....do you really think that Sharon would be so forgiving if she were Summer's mother? Give me a break Phyllis has every right to be angry with Victor for what happened to Summer but she still came home from Switzerland and stayed at the hospital to support her husband thus putting aside her feelings to be there for Nick....If you watched today's episode you will see she once again stood by her husband's side in regards to what Billy is doing with Restless Style....Also if you remember correctly when Phyllis was married to Jack there was tension in her marriage due to her working for Victor and taking Victor's side against Jack so I don't see how this makes her more of an Abbott than a Newman.
Very well said Alex. Sure save me a lot of typing.

Thanks Des! I knew YOU would get where I was coming from....The woman LOVES her husband and supports him even when he and his family don't always deserve her support.....
Another thing I forgot was Sharon showing how much Victor is a father figure to her the time when she had her tongue down his throat? I still don't think she'd be so forgiving if she were Summer's mother but then again jmo....

Phyllis Abbott actually had balls...Phyllis Newman doesn't. If this were the fiesty red Phyllis as in the past she would be sticking it to Victor, but now she is just a wimpy ole' thing that is too afraid to make her hubby Nick mad at her so she hides behind her true feelings.

If she were sticking it to Victor then everyone would be saying that she doesn't care about Nick's feelings and that Nick needs to be with a supportive wife like Sharon.....In my opinion, Phyllis just can't win with some people.

Say that Alex. But we know what both Phyllis Abbott and Phyllis Newman would say to those people, right?!
I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe caring for her daughter is probably a little more important than sticking it to Victor...I mean what good would it do? The man got shot and had a heart transplant. That alone would save me the trouble of having to stick it to him. JMO
